FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Anthony Macri Crowned 33rd Annual Pennsylvania Sprint Car Speedweek Champion
Mechanicsburg, PA (July 5, 2023) – The 33rd Annual Pennsylvania Sprint Car Speedweek presented by Red Robin is in the books. When it was all said and done, six of the ten scheduled races were completed with four being lost to rain. Four rainouts is the highest number of races lost to Mother Nature in Speedweek history. Despite the races lost, thanks to Speedweek sponsors, drivers received a generous payout from the points fund along with contingency prize money.
Anthony Macri won three features on his way to his first Speedweek Championship. Macri outscored the 2022 Speedweek Champion, Brent Marks, by 163 points. In addition to receiving $5,000 for the Speedweek Championship, Macri also earned the $4,000 Selinsgrove Ford “Ten for Ten Bonus”, for finishing in the top 10 in every race. Not only did Macri finish in the top 10 every race, Anthony finished in the top two in all six races. Macri and Marks both received the Lelands.com “Knock Out Bonus” during the week as well. With his heat race wins at BAPS on Sunday and Hagerstown on Wednesday, Macri knocked another driver out of the redraw, earning him the $500 bonus each night. Marks scored the $500 bonus money on Thursday night at Lincoln with his heat race win.
In total, 71 drivers competed in the 2023 edition of PA Sprint Speedweek. Drivers from seven states (PA, IN, NJ, WA, DE, OK, OH) and three countries (USA, Canada, Australia) competed throughout the week. Fourteen drivers competed in all six races, with all fourteen drivers receiving point fund payouts for their efforts (1. Anthony Macri $5,000; 2. Brent Marks $2,500; 3. Justin Peck $2,250; 4. Freddie Rahmer $2,100; 5. Kyle Reinhardt $2,000; 6. Dylan Norris $1,600; 7. Danny Dietrich $1,500; 8. TJ Stutts $1,400; 9. Devon Borden $1,300; 10. Lucas Wolfe $1,225; 11. Cameron Smith $1,150; 12. Ryan Smith $1,100; 13. Austin Bishop $1,050; 14. Eddie Lumbar $975).
Long Hollow Cattle Company once again paid out additional money to non-qualifiers from the B-main. Each night a total of $850 was distributed to the first five drivers not making the feature.
This week would not be possible without support from the PA Sprint Speedweek sponsors, Red Robin, C&D Rigging, Lelands.com, Selinsgrove Ford and Long Hollow Cattle Company.
The 34th Annual Pennsylvania Sprint Car Speedweek is scheduled for June 28-July 7, 2024. The full schedule will be released at a later date.

Justin Peck Looking Forward to PA Sprint SpeedWeek; A Look Back at Recent SpeedWeek History
Mechanicsburg, PA (June 12, 2023) – Sixteen days after taking a nasty ride at Bridgeport Speedway, Justin Peck was back behind the wheel at Lincoln Speedway. Peck will pick-up Ohio SpeedWeek on Tuesday and then return to Pennsylvania with plans to run the entire PA Sprint SpeedWeek. Last year, Peck finished second in the final SpeedWeek point standings, “I feel like we put in a good week last year but Brent won five races. It’s tough to beat a guy that wins half the shows and it seems like he ran second in the other half.”
Since teaming up with Buch Motorsports Peck has been a staple at PA Sprint SpeedWeek and scored his first and only SpeedWeek victory in 2021 at Lincoln, “This will be my third consecutive PA SpeedWeek with the same guys. I feel like we’ve been pretty good all three years, we won a race the first year, we did not win a race last year, but we had a couple of podiums and a couple of top fives ended up second in the points.” The night Peck won at Lincoln, both Kyle Larson and Christopher Bell were in the field.
Peck and the Buch Team are no strangers to Pennsylvania, “I’m feeling pretty confident. I love Pennsylvania and my guys are from PA and we’re based here so we have a lot of good support. This is something I look forward to.” Peck will look to capture the $6,000 bonus as the high point man for the ten race series. This year's $30,000 point fund is sponsored by C&D Rigging, Grantville, PA. C&D Rigging is the leader in millwrighting and mechanical erection of machinery and heavy equipment since 2013. This will be the largest total point fund ever offered for the Speed Week series with a point fund bonus posted for fifteen positions in final points.

Largest Payoffs Ever for PA Sprint Car SpeedWeek
Mechanicsburg, PA (May 22, 2023) – The 2023 PA Sprint Car SpeedWeek is shaping up to be the highest paying in the thirty-three-year history of the series. Sponsorship continues to grow for the series presented by Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Brews. The ten-race series now posts a minimum winner’s payoff of $8,000. There are four $8,000 to win events, four will pay $10,000 to win, Port Royal Speedway offers $15,000 for the July 3 Keith Kauffman Classic and the Mitch Smith Memorial at Williams Grove, the crown jewel of SpeedWeek, on June 30 will pay $20,000 to win.
In addition to the outstanding race day payoffs, the C&D Rigging sponsorship has boosted the point series payoff to a record $30,000 to be paid to fifteen drivers. First through fifth in the final point standings will collect $6,000, $3,000, $2,700, $2,500, and $2,200 respectively. The big increase is the bonus for the next ten drivers in the point standings who compete in every SpeedWeek event. Those bonus payoffs will range from $1,800 to $1,000. All events must be completed for the total of $30,000 to be paid.
The Long Hollow Cattle Company will sponsor the B-Main for the second consecutive year. Owner Matt Balliet will post a minimum payoff of $300-$200-$150-$100-$100 to the first non-qualifiers.
Selinsgrove Ford will sponsor the $5,000 “Ten for Ten” bonus. Todd Benner, Selinsgrove Ford president, will present a $5,000 Bonus to a driver with a top 10 feature finish in every SpeedWeek event. A minimum of 7 events must be completed for the bonus. If multiple drivers have all top ten finishes, the highest point finisher receives the $5,000 bonus. If no driver records all top ten finishes, the driver with most top ten finishes receives $1,000. In the event of a tie for most top ten finishes, the highest driver in final points will receive the $1,000 bonus. Drivers must compete in all events to qualify for the bonus. The 2022 SpeedWeek champion Brent Marks captured the award last year and was the only driver in recent memory to accomplish the feat.
Lelands.com will offer bonus money for heat race action with the “Knockout Bonus”. There will be a $500 Bonus each night if the heat race starter with the fastest time (usually the fourth-place starter) can win the heat race thereby “knocking out” all other drivers in that heat race from the feature redraw. If more than one driver accomplishes the knockout, the $500 will be divided equally.
