The Pennsylvania Speedweek Association would like to welcome Always Racing as its 2016 sponsor.
Always Racing, founded in the winter of 2015 by Motor Racing Outreach Association Chaplain Jeff Myers, provides a ministry to the motorsports community. Ministry is provided through pastoral and trauma care as well as spiritual growth to anyone in the motorsports community.
Pennsylvania Speedweek gets underway Friday, June 24th at the Williams Grove Speedway. The series will run nine races in a matter of ten days, concluding at the Selinsgrove Speedway Sunday, July 3rd. Lincoln Speedway will host race #2 on June 25th, before the circuit travels to Path Valley Speedway on the 26th. The series will take it’s only off day on Monday, June 27th before competing at Grandview Speedway Tuesday, the 28th and at the Hagerstown Speedway in Maryland on Wednesday. Port Royal Speedway will host a pair of shows on Thursday, June 30th and Saturday, July 2nd. Williams Grove Speedway will host its second Pennsylvania Speedweek show on Friday, July 1st for the crown jewel of speedweek, the “Mitch Smith Memorial”. Total prize money for the nine race series is over $250,000!
In 2015, Stevie Smith became the first driver in the 25-year history of Pennsylvania Speedweek to win 5 events during the series. He won the series championship along with $43,200. Danny Dietrich, Doug Esh and Steve Buckwalter also took series victories in 2015.
